Myspace Bans - Could Profile Pitstop Be Next? E-mail

In a land where MySpace is the ubber chief of social networking, being banned from the site could be death sentence for sites like ours.  Sites such as Photobucket are just one the many sites that have been severely crippled by the MySpace bans (that was until Myspace absorbed them).  Over the past few months, the blocking of 3rd party widgets and flash files has left websites wondering if they could end up next on the banned list.

Profile Pitstop provides a Free MP3 player as well as a slideshow creator that could fall victim to blanket bans from Myspace.

Why do they ban so many other sites?  Simple, as MySpace grows they are trying to keep the web traffic on their own servers, which generates them more money.  By allowing other websites to work with them, they are practically giving away money.

While Profile Pitstop has not set out with the purpose of upsetting MySpace, it seems that even sites who do not try to upset the social network giant end up banned at some point.  Many of the websites that offer widget services that are compatible with MySpace have ended up banned as well.  With MySpace, banning everything from Photobucket, to MP3 widgets and almost everything in between it seems it is only a matter of time before every website that tries to support MySpace is banned.

With many companies losing as much as 40% of their traffic after a MySpace ban, it is very easy to see why this can be the kiss of death.  In a time where internet traffic can mean the difference between successful business and going under.  While no company sets out to upset anyone who can help their business grow some businesses, still make mistakes that cause problems.  With the misunderstandings sprouting up with MySpace on an almost daily basis, many companies are running scared to avoid being the next victim of the MySpace axe.

People wonder if Profile Pitstop will be next, however we are quite proud to say that at this point there is no reason to worry about us being banned.  As far as we know, Profile Pitstop has done nothing to upset MySpace in any way?

We strive to help you make the most of your MySpace experience.  We have managed to learn from the mistakes and plan to avoid the MySpace blacklist that seems to circle around the internet.  With our great products we do not want to disappoint the people who rely on us.  Thanks for you support and for helping to make our site a success.
